Description: 2004 Physical Plant Employees and Family Picnic
The 2004 Picnic was a tremendous success, thanks to all who participated
in the event. We had a great turnout of over 40 folks who showed up to
enjoy good food, cool lake breezes, and a fun raffle.
Everything started off about 5pm with folks showing up with food and family.
Horseshoes turned out to be the main activity (maybe it was too warm for
softball out in the open?) Most folks just hung out to talk and wait for the
burgers and dogs while the tables were being set out.
Tickets for the raffle were handed out, and then shortly after it was time
to eat. All seemed to enjoy themselves. Later, we raffled off several kids
toys and $35 worth of Wal Mart gift cards.
I'd like to thank all those who helped put this picnic together. Lots of
folks brought out plenty of dishes, drinks and desserts. Without
your efforts, none of this would have happened. We are sure glad you came,
and we hope to do it again next year! Please give special thanks to the
following folks for effort above and beyond:
- Dennis Byford: Delivered and returned the grill, tables and chairs!
- Kris Thomas: Delivered chairs to the event
- Steve Armstrong: Manned the grill!
- Judy Owens: Committee member - Brought paper for the tables
- Mike McLafferty: Committee member - Set up the kitchen and arranged the entertainment
- Janice James: Committee member - Loan of equipment
