• When is the heating/cooling for my building turned on/off each season?
Normally, air-conditioning is turned on after May 1^st and is turned off after October 1^st each year. Heating is provided November 1^st and is turned off March 30^th each year. The exact day your building air-conditioning/heating will be started and stopped is dependent upon need and weather conditions. Historically, the months of April and October have been called "shirt sleeve" months. This means many general university buildings are neither cooled nor heated and occupants should dress appropriate for daily weather conditions. This is a significant energy saving measure by the university.
