Not everyone knows how to operate a mower safely. In fact, what most people view as common sense can lead to accidents later. Although accidents are less for mowers than some other areas, a number of injuries, even death, may occur if safety practices are ignored or abused. The purpose of this training is to help you become a SAFE mower operator. Let's get started.
The training program is divided into units, which are listed in the Table of Contents on the left side of each page. At the end of each unit you will find a button labeled "Next". To continue to the next unit click on this button. If you want to go back and review an earlier unit, click on the unit name in the Table of Contents. At the end of each unit you will find a "Quick Check" review. At the end of Unit 3 you will find a test. Instructions for completing the test can be found at the top of that page. This project was completed as part of a graduate training course in Instructional Systems Design at Oklahoma State University, in collaboration with Oklahoma State University Environment, Health, & Safety. Technical support was provided by Oklahoma State University Edmon Low Library.
