General Work Habits

Be physically & mentally rested Reducing accidents means reporting to work physically and mentally rested, prepared to perform your job safely and properly.
Report unsafe conditions or acts Always report any unsafe condition or unsafe act to your supervisor or to Environmental Health & Safety as soon as possible.
Keep your mind on your work Whenever you're performing your job, keep your mind on your work. Always keep your temper and thoughts under control.
Report any injury Report any injury to your supervisor as soon as possible.
Inform your supervisor of medical conditions If you are taking a prescribed drug that may have a side effect, inform your supervisor before beginning the day's work.
Use of drugs or alcohol could cost you your job Use of illegal drugs or intoxicating beverages while at work (or reporting to work under the influence of these substances) may be cause for your dismissal.

FACT: One of every eight hospital beds is occupied by an accident victim.
