Atomic Absorption, Absorption of electromagnetic radiation at discrete
wavelengths by atoms. The quantity of absorbed radiation is a measure of the concentration
or amount of that atom in the sample. Example of an analytical method using this property

Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy - Performed by stimulating a filament of a
chosen element and using the light emitted by the filament to detect the amount of that
element in a sample by measuring the absorption of the light. |

sections also in parts of Europe. This association is the largest professional Industrial
