OSU Institutional Animal Care & Use Committee

The Institutional Animal Care and Use Commitee functions under the mandates set forth by the federal Animal Welfare Act, administered through the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, and the Health Research Extension Act (Public Health Service Act), administered through the Office for Protection from Research Risks, NIH.

The IACUC reviews all research, teaching, research training and biological testing activities involving animals for compliance with federal, state and local laws, regulations and guidelines.
