EHS Organization
Administration Operating under the authority of the Associate Vice President and Controller, the Environmental Health & Safety Department is comprised of five distinct yet interactive sections: Fire/Safety, Hazardous Materials, Hazard Communications, Safety Training and Asbestos Abatement. EHS is responsible for the enforcement of applicable Life Safety Codes, Code of Federal Regulations, NFPA Fire Codes and International Building Codes on the Oklahoma State University campuses and A&M campuses. To this end all construction plans and documents for any new construction or renovation are reviewed for code compliance before work can begin. Once EHS has approved the construction permit, periodic inspections of the work are conducted to ensure the work being done is in code compliance. Other responsibilities:
