ABOUT CUSTODIAL DEPARTMENT
Examples of routine work:
- Restrooms, classrooms and public areas (hallways, lobbies and entryways) are cleaned daily.
- Trash containers placed in the halls are emptied twice a week.
- Offices are cleaned once a week.
- Carpet is vacuumed once a week in offices and twice weekly in classrooms.
Other activities not routinely scheduled:
- Buffing and refinishing of floors is performed on a yearly basis, according to a set schedule.
- Carpet is shampooed once a year or by request at that department's expense.
